Silicon cell pyranometer for measuring shortwave solar radiation, for solar, irrigation and environmental studies.
Overview
This pyranometer uses a silicon cell to measure shortwave solar radiation. It is weatherproof and quick in operation, and it suits passive solar system analysis, irrigation scheduling and meteorological, hydrologic and other environmental studies.
It can be used with a Lakshmi Engineering Works digital solar radiation recorder, a self-contained unit with solar panel, SLA battery and V-Log data logger in an IP65 enclosure, or with our hand-held terminal and weather stations.
Key features
How it works
The level sensor faces the sky, and sunlight falls on the silicon cell.
The cell produces a signal that follows the radiation falling on it.
A recorder or data logger stores the readings.
