We make and supply hydrological, meteorological, soil, concrete-testing and survey instruments from Roorkee, Uttarakhand. This policy explains what we collect through lakshmiengworks.in, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
In short: we collect what you send us in an enquiry, and we use it to answer you. We don't sell your details, show advertising, or use third-party analytics.
1. What we collect
When you send an enquiry or quote request:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your company or department, and your location, if you give them
- your message, and the products and quantities you ask about
- the page you sent it from
- that you accepted this policy
To protect the form from spam, we keep a scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address. It lets us spot repeated messages. We don't store the address itself with your enquiry.
When you browse the website:
- Server logs: like most websites, our server briefly records technical details such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time. We use these for security and to fix faults.
- Speed measurements: on about 1 page load in 5, your browser reports how fast the page loaded, along with the page address and whether you were on a phone or a computer. This contains no name, IP address, browser details or cookie, so it doesn't identify you.
2. Cookies and storage on your device
The public website doesn't use cookies to track you, and it has no advertising or third-party analytics.
Your quote list and recently viewed products are kept in your own browser, so they stay on your device. They reach us only if you send an enquiry. You can remove them by clearing your browser's site data.
3. Why we use your information
We use it to:
- reply to your enquiry and send quotations
- send you a confirmation of your enquiry
- follow up on your request and fulfil any order that results
- keep the website secure, stop spam and fix problems
- understand how fast the website is, and improve it
- meet our legal, tax and accounting duties
We rely on your consent when you send an enquiry, and on legal purposes that the law allows. We won't send you marketing emails unless you've agreed to receive them.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed with:
- our staff, who handle your enquiry
- delivery and service partners, if you place an order and they need your details to fulfil it
- government or legal authorities, where the law requires it
5. Where your information is stored
Our website and database run on a server in India. If a service provider handles information outside India, we'll do so only as Indian law allows.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and related messages: up to 3 YEARS after our last contact, unless an order or the law requires longer
- Records of orders and invoices: as long as tax and accounting law requires
- Server logs: about 30 days
- Speed measurements: 90 days
Deleted information may stay in backups for a short time until those backups are replaced.
7. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted staff accounts, separate permissions for each role, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a problem occurs, including telling you and the authorities where the law requires it.
8. Your rights
Under India's data protection laws, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct or update it
- delete it, where we don't need to keep it by law
- withdraw your consent for future use
- explain how to raise a complaint
You can also nominate someone to act on your behalf if you're unable to. To make a request, write to us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we aim to reply within 30 days.
9. Children
Our website is meant for businesses, institutions and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we'll delete them.
10. Other websites and services
Our website may link to other sites, or let you contact us through services such as WhatsApp or your phone. Those services have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The new version will appear on this page with a new effective date.
