Solar and radiation

Solar radiation data is needed for solar plant planning and monitoring, crop and irrigation studies, and weather networks. Lakshmi Engineering Works supplies the sensors and the recorders that log them.

Pyranometers for global radiation

• Silicon cell pyranometer: weatherproof and quick to respond, for general monitoring, irrigation scheduling and environmental studies.
• First class pyranometer: a thermopile-class instrument for global radiation from 305 to 2800 nm with WRR traceable calibration, for solar resource studies and meteorological networks.

Direct radiation and trackers

Direct normal irradiance is measured with a pyrheliometer that must face the sun all day. Our microprocessor-controlled solar tracker points it with 0.1° accuracy, using an internal GPS to work out the sun's position.

Recording the data

Any of these sensors can be connected to our digital solar radiation recorder, a self-contained unit with solar panel, battery and data logger in an IP65 enclosure, with a GSM/GPRS option. Tell us what you need to measure and we will suggest the right combination.
