Solar-powered weather station with a multi-channel logger in an IP65 enclosure on a stainless steel tripod mast, sensors to suit the site.
Overview
The Lakshmi Engineering Works automatic weather station is a self-contained, fully automatic weather data recorder trusted by public authorities. A solar panel and SLA battery power a multi-channel, high-accuracy data logger with power management, all in a single IP65 waterproof enclosure on a robust stainless steel tripod mast.
The V-Log logger has an accurate real-time clock, an internal signal conditioner for many sensor types and memory to record continuously for months to years. Readings and setup are on its alphanumeric display and tactile keypad. Data can be carried to a computer with a USB data shuttle, or sent by GSM/GPRS, Ethernet/LAN or RS 485 Modbus RTU, and the supplied software downloads it in ASCII or MS Excel format.
Sensors are chosen to suit the site, from wind, temperature, humidity, pressure and rainfall to evaporation, solar radiation, soil, water level, snow depth and visibility.
Key features
How it works
Sensors on the mast read the weather at the site.
The data logger stores time-stamped readings, powered by the solar panel and battery.
Read values on the display, carry them with the data shuttle, or receive them by telemetry.
